When we moved into our new house, I went into the basement to find the word "ASSHOLE" scrawled across the wall as I reached the bottom of the stairs. When I returned upstairs, I let my husband know the former owners had been expecting him.
When I see quotes like the following, I apply similar reasoning, assuming the author was expecting our current presidential administration.
